Heyoooooooooo  ☆*:.。. o(≧▽≦)o .。.:*☆
Today, I'll present part 1 of gyaru styles. So without delay, here we go.

Kogal

first wave of  kogals

Modern version

Kogyaru started in the 1990s when young japanese highschool girls started bleached there hair (chapatsu), tanning, wearing heavy makeup, shortening there school uniforms and wearing loose socks. People believe they were inspired by Namie Amuro, a very popular singer and Californian girls. Actually, original kogals were rich, bored teen girls who wanted to rebel against the japanese way of thinking about women. The core of the style was hanging out with friends and living in the moment, not caring about other people's thoughts about you. This eventually evolved to the ganguro slogan " Get wild ! Be sexy!''
Mostly seen wearing there seifuku even while hanging out in Shibuya, they also wore high platform boots, colorful miniskirts, camisoles and designer accessories. Burberry scarves and Louis Vuitton purses are popular in this style. There make consists of white concealer around the eyes and on the lips.Thick eyeliner, false lashes, dark foundation and lip gloss are also included. The hair was usually long, bleached  and straight.
Kogyaru used there hand phones and decorated them with huge phone charmes and puri pictures. They were known for being very materialistic and vain. People also thought they did enjo kosai even though most of them are too proud and would never do so.As you might have guessed, the style has evolved and most kogals nowadays don't wear white makeup and wear fashionable clothing.
Still, egg magazine remains essential to the style.
